💖Network Device  - A networking device is an electrical device that allows devices on a computer network to communicate and interact with each other. In a computer network, they specifically mediate data transfer.

                                                                   

💖Hub -A network hub is a device that allows many computers on a network to connect with one another. It contains a number of Ethernet ports for connecting two or more network devices together. 


                                                                                                                        

💖Switch- A network switch is networking gear that uses packet switching to link devices on a computer network. It receives and forwards data to the target device.



                                                                   

💖Router- A router is a device that interacts between the internet and the internet-connected devices in your house. It "routes" traffic between devices and the internet, as its name indicates.



                                                                                                                    

💖Modem- is a piece of computer hardware that converts data from a digital format to an analog version that may be used on a phone or radio. A modem encodes digital information by modulating one or more carrier wave signals, which the receiver demodulates to reproduce the original digital information.

                                                                  

💖Network Bridge- A network bridge is a computer networking device that connects various communication networks or network segments to form a single, aggregate network. Network bridging is the term for this function. 


                                                                                                                

💖Network interface card- is a physical component that allows a computer to connect to the internet. It is a circuit board that is inserted in a computer and provides the machine with a dedicated network connection. It's also known as a network adapter, network interface controller, or LAN adapter.

                                                                   

💖Transceiver- is a device that functions as both a transmitter and a receiver, generally in one unit. This is a modular network interface that is extensively used in networking.


                                                                                                                  
💖Firewall- A firewall is a network security device that analyzes incoming and outgoing network traffic and determines whether specific traffic should be allowed or blocked based on a set of security rules. For more than 25 years, firewalls have served as the first line of defense in network security.
